He is in the final of the Carson challenger

Re: the AMER DELIC thread !!!!

I saw Amer earlier at Carson. I had a disagreement with another fan over his play. I think he's got the talent, but he's just too laid back on court. Show some intensity! Show me that you want to win. The other fan disagreed - said that staying calm and cool on court is a good thing.

Obviously what he's doing is working here, so I'm probably wrong. But I would still like to see more intensity on court.

Nah Sue, it's a bit of a trek, and I have plans tomorrow..... i could've gone today but i just wish it were a bit closer - if one or two other players I like were still in I would've thought about it, but as much as I like Amer I couldn't go all the way there

Lynn, I've seen Amer show a lot of intensity! He's not really nutty like Andy or Rafa but he definitely emotes and reacts on court Maybe he's just been calm when you saw him but he definitely had some reactions in his first round match

Oh good! He was soo calm when I saw him. I was thinking that he had his Southern California laid back attitude on for the day.

Re: the AMER DELIC thread !!!!

Yay! I spoke to him oh so briefly in Yuba City yesterday (he's just lovely, really). He seems to be enthusiastic about playing tennis again, and he's heading to Roehampton after he finishes up in Yuba City. I was teasing him a bit about his 'march on the top 75' and I said Amer, here is your incentive. I'm not sure how much traveling I can do to Tour events anymore, so if you never want to see me again, get off the Challenger circuit! He was so sweet, he said 'that's no incentive for me'.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.
