Re: Kei Nishikori

He lost 6-3 6-4. Got broken three times and had to save a lot of BPs. Needs to work on his serve.

Re: Kei Nishikori

Kei declared yesterday he is now a pro.
He is scheduled to have an open practice session with Ferrer in an hour or so. The session was originally planned for him and Federer but as you all know Fed didn't come, so.
I'd love to see this session but today I gotta work...

I hope Kei will win his R1 match vs Fleishman so I can see him play Gasuquet when I get there on Wednesday!
It's been raining in Tokyo the last couple of days, so qualie rounds have been screwed up badly. The weather should get better from tomorrow, or from Tuesday, but it could affect R1 schedules.

No problem! Thanx for the pics Gambillfan!

TV sports news here rarely covers tennis, but they did a bit about Japan Open yesterday, and Kei was interviewed after that open practice with Ferrer, which seems to have gone well and was attended by like 2000 spectators in Centre Court.
He said it was his first experience to play in front of so many people but he really enjoyed the atmosphere.

It's cloudy today but the weather is holding up so far.
Good luck to Kei in his pro debut!!
