Kei will fly to Paris tomorrow to play RG.
According to his blog, updated this time by his staff, Kei kad an MRI test in Rome and at first they suspected kidney stone.
He then returned to Japan to have further treatment. He does have stones but that is not serious and the pain was more to do with acute stomach cramp due to excess stomach acid.
He received IV and medication and now he's got better.
Phew! Excess stomach acid? Maybe he had too much stress...
Anyway I hope he'll be 100% OK and can focus on his tennis again!
*edit* And now from facebook:
Hi everyone, just wanted to give you a little update. I went back to Japan to get a second opinion from a Japanese doctor last Saturday. After some examinations and more treatment from the doctors here in Tokyo, I am feeling better and I am ready to play the French Open. Had my first practice today in Tokyo and I am leaving Japan tomorrow to join my coaching team in Paris and start preparing for the French Open.
