8 break points and all have been converted by Richie. Good luck on your next tournament!

Re: The grass Court Season - First up Queens

3-6 3-6

So 0-2 against Gasquet. Was a tough draw anyway.
Maybe Kei needs to work on footwork on grass a bit more.

Better luck in Wimbledon, be it qualies or main draw!

Re: The grass Court Season - First up Queens

Still many things for Kei to learn from matches like these, we'll have to be patient I guess.

Kei looked like he was about to smash his racket a few times but held back, has anyone else notice him showing such frustration or anger before?

Re: The grass Court Season - First up Queens

probably had something to do with the fact that he could just not break richard and that frustration prbably effected his game.

but its early into his comeback and he still has to learn alot, he cant be expected to beat players of richard's caliber this soon after his comeback anyway.

On to Wimbledon, hopefully he'll have better luck there...and a nicer draw

Kei has really not been given the greatest of draws at either big event he has played

Re: The grass Court Season - First up Queens

Yeah, I hope Kei will have a good draw in Wimbledon (qualie included).

One more think I'd like to add after seeing today's match is that sometimes he went for a fancy shot and ended up losing the point. I know he likes to have variety and it's all good if he can win a point. But when you are a set and a break down, it's better to execute each shot perfectly than going for a risky shot. Sure he won some fantactic points which were nice to see, but he should know Gasquet is the better player in that department at the moment.

Re: The grass Court Season - First up Queens

If Kei have converted those break points it would have been a very different match.

Hate to see Kei lose, especially in early rounds but we always need to be positive - im sure something big will happen for him on his next many tournaments. Goodluck Kei!

We'll be watching you on Wimby!

Go Air Kei!
