Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

I also think from retiring from DTT, in last year there were a lot of new players + old players = around 50 players and from this 50 players there were 2 or 3 new managers. That game can't be run from 4-5 people and the others just to watch and play.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

I will probably retire too.
I can't be a manager cause I never know when I'll be in PC, so I don't know when I'll can post diffs, and play without be a manager makes me feel a little guilty

I'm giving a lot of problems for Marto because when I liv the deadline doesn't help to send my picks in almost every tournament.
So I think if he's going to stop, I think it's time to retire too. Maybe I can return if DTT stay in 2013, but probably only for singles. I like only to play with Marto

So I think that's the best time to retire. I want to thanks a lot every manager, every opponent, every guy who played with me

Thanks, guys see you later

Bellucci once bageled Novak Djokovic and still managed to lost the match.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Well, I could manage some tournaments.

Can someone post the rules and explain how to do that?

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

As this was my first go at playing this week and it was abandoned - I'll want to see how a completed event runs first.

But assuming it's basically the same as TT I can help in the future.

Yes, basically DTT and TT have the same rules when it come to entry lists, draws and tie-break system.
There are only a few differences like the deadline is when matches start (because often doubles matches are delayed) and there are ALTs in the draw until matches start. If they are not filled with players these players get a bye in 1st round.

It´s too late to start a DTT Kuala Lumpur/Bangkok thread , but if someone could take DTT Shanghai it would be great

You could always ask anything

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

I think that DTT Singles would be enough.
We don't need DTT Doubles as well.

What do you think, boarder.
Is it only 50% of work if we only do DTT Singles or does it not make that big difference to run the tournament in Singles AND Doubles??

To be honest, I´m not 100% sure if it would be enough to keep player´s interest if we play singles only
Besides if you use the spreadsheet from Evita the amount of time that would be needed to enter singles picks also on the doubles part of the spreadsheat is not that bigger anyway.
In DTT with a limited number of entries compared to TT, you have far less players who only play doubles or only play singles

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

I have better results in doubles than singles to be honest, so not having doubles competition would be bad for me.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Double one is classic one, I suggest to start in 2013 again, first we should find someone for rankings and we will play just biggest tournaments. What do you think?

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Yes, we can have maybe 23-25 tournaments, and a best 18 (same as ATP) ranking system.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

I think playing Masters (9), Grand Slams (4), ATP 500 weeks (8) and some ATP 250, like grass weeks, or when there is big spaces from tournament to tournament, is enough... (of course including Davis Cup and year-end Masters) if there are few managers, maybe Masters and Grand Slams are ok, at least for me... but I prefer to keep playing singles and doubles.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

when there are two consecutive weeks with 250s, we can make one tournament for all. For instance, we would have had one DTT tournament for St Petersburg/Metz+Bangkok/Kuala Lumpur.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Surely though the less events you have will mean that only established players will be able play = less opportunities for new people to try it and out always stuck in quallies???

I gave this game a go and the event was abandoned after I'd won my qually match - that presumably means I don't get points for winning that and next time I am unranked and at the bottom of the entry lists again?
