Score Kohlmann 1-6 6-2 10-7

I believe coolfish1103 should win as s/he was closer to the actual score

IdeaS?
It goes to Game Difference but it depends on how the TB is treated as it can be argued either way who wins (see below)

If TB is treated as 17 "games"
Result: +2 game difference and 32 games played
Coolfish1103: +4 game difference and 22 games played. 2 game difference + 10 games played = 12
Diego36Arg: +5 game difference and 19 games played. 3 game difference + 13 games played= 16

Coolfish1103 wins

If the TB is treated as 1-0:
Result: 0 game difference and 16 games played
Coolfish1103: +4 game difference and 22 games played. 4 game difference + 6 games played = 10
Diego36Arg: +5 game difference and 19 games played. 5 game difference + 3 games played= 8

Diego36Arg wins

I think I remember a discussion a few years ago about how to treat it but I don't remember the conclusion. For what it's worth, I think the first option is the correct way.

I was expecting to lose but not this way.

I suggest that you guys remove this rule from DTT because it makes zero sense to count super tie-break as 1 game especially when you count it as a set by itself against the players. I am perfectly fine losing the match because my ranking is lower but it's really difficult to convince me that I lost when theoretically my prediction is much closer to a 3rd set than what the opponent did with the generic 6-4 6-3 picks. It's a viable rule in TT when it goes to a 3rd set cause it can be either 6-0 or 7-6, but in DTT it will only be 1-0 according to the interpretation that you guys have placed. Granted if it's 6-0 or 7-6 in a 3rd set I would have probably won with my prediction, but this is doubles w/super tie break rather than a normal 3rd set...

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Could you please clarify the change that was done to the late picks more? I don't understand it well I guess. If there are 2 rounds in 1 day and a player e.g in doubles send between the two rounds and for example so he has no picks for the first round, but then his team wins should his picks be accepted for the second round or not? This happened to one player I guess in the tournament I was managing a week ago and I accepted them, but it seems I got this rule wrong.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

Can someone take Rome please, I cannot manage Rome that week. Sorry for late notice.

Also if anyone can help or even take over Madrid, I would be eternally grateful. Having some personal issues and need to step back.

Re: DTT Managers Thread 2012

If TB is to be counted as 1 game, then we should be picking 1-0 not 10-8. I think we need to change this and have a hard and fast rule.
I've been using the TT tie-break system, so in the above case from abollo, I would have seen that neither picked a correct set for PTS and therefore go to tournament countback if in Round 2 or later, or PTS2 if in Round 1...

abollo, I think if the team has not been replaced by a LL or ALT team, then day 2 picks or picks for next round can be accepted. Not sending picks just means that they will be at a huge disadvantage.
