oufffff First day and it was stressful !!!
Happy he won, but I hope he'll play better at next round !!!

yes, even though I believed he would eventually pull through, it was very stressful. he was extremely frustrated and he had trouble keeping his posture. at one point I thought he had gone mad: he was nervously smiling and mumbling but he had this strange look about him. and eric was popping pills
Well, that was harder than it needed to be, but credit to Daniel Brands for playing positive attacking tennis. Hope Jo makes a concerted effort to move closer to the baseline and attack second serves more against Ouanna. It's actually a decent quarter and hopefully he can play himself into form and push himself as far as he can. It's Roland Garros after all - this is the ideal place for him to feed off the crowd's support, which he loves to do.

Jo served poorly in the first set, but his ground strokes looked sharp all match.
Ouanna neither could serve well nor play consistently, but glad Jo got an easy, stress-free win. That too just before it started drizzling.
