Almagro gave us quite a scare. Really upped his game from the 3rd set. I'm happy that Jo never gave up and found a way to prevail.

The quarter-final match against Djokovic will be a big test for Jo. It's all about self-belief and motivation. Rest up and all the best of luck.

Am I right in thinking that Verdasco's loss/Jo's win means they'll swap places regardless of the outcome vs Djokovic?

hahaha guys too funny!

He didn't put out for the pretty Haas but could not resist Almagro's stubborn teasing.

Yes, he's in top 10 where he belongs 9 at the moment, according to Judio's rankings

Re: Aussie Summer '10 : AO 3rd Round versus Tommy Haas

this thread has fallen into the depths of double meanings. I don't complain

Shadows, I have no idea, I'm hopeless regards to the points and rankings. What about Soderling's first round loss, does it mean Jo might grab the 8th spot even if he loses against Djoko ?

it would be great if he could get to number 8 before Roland Garros. Keijan, you have beaten me to that avatar! I have to make another one now and I suck at this graphics business!

Re: Aussie Summer '10 : AO 3rd Round versus Tommy Haas

In his press conf video : http://video.eurosport.fr/tennis/ope...64/video.shtml

He says Almagro didnt have anything on his wrist, because "I don't know anyone who with a wrist injury can hit shots like he did. I saw him making his cinema at the beginning of the match, but as it went on and he was hitting harder and harder, he wasn't looking at his wrist. I didn't even know he was supposed to be injured. It was bullshit." He's not wrong

Unfortunately not

Sadly Soderling had a crap start to last year too so has quite a bit of leeway till his big FO triumph. I'd really like to see Jo get back into the top 8 since it could make all the difference in the HC masters at the start of the year. Bar getting to the final though I don't think it is doable

hmm guys, I'm afraid Gonzalez might even pass Jo if Jo doesn't make the semis or better I hope I am completeley wrong about this.

No, no Gonzo is five points behind him and he's out. Judio does awesome work updating the rankings with each new round throughout the year here ...
