Re: The Summer Tour Thread 2009

jo beat schuettler 4-6 6-3 6-4 after a tough 2hours battle

jo was playing bad, not as confident and offensive we used to see. Well quite normal since he's trying to change some things in his tennis but he better step it up for the next match cause he's far from playing his best.

It would be the winner of gilles or faya.

GASQUET

Tsonga - Simon - Monfils - Mathieu - Chardy - Baghdatis
Mannarino - Safin - Santoro - Gulbis- Nishikori

Jo didn't play well, but I'm glad he got through anyway Should be a fun match if he is to play Gilles.

Allez!

Re: The Summer Tour Thread 2009

Shaky start, but asserted himself well in the match, especially after being 0-40 down in second set. Good luck against Simon today.

Well done Jo! I was afraid Simon might be a tricky opponent, but Jo acquitted himself very well, it seems. Please take revenge against Federer.

Re: The Summer Tour Thread 2009

Some line of reaction from Fed and from Jo on this match to come :

Fed :

Re: The Summer Tour Thread 2009

Trans :

Fed:
I am excited at the sight of this match. Jo is still young and he's got lots of potentials. It's certainly going to be an exciting match to watch and also to play. He has an extremely powerful serve and he is a great athlete. I've played him only once in my career and I guess that it's going to happen again in the future. I am aware that it's going to be a very difficult match.

Jo:

Tsonga said that he doesn't want to be there to sparr. "I can play tennis too, did he say without any trace of arrogance. I am not as good as him when he is at the top, but I am able to play too."

Awesome match to come

Re: The Summer Tour Thread 2009

Just seen Jo's draw for Cincy, not too bad. Probable progresion is Kohli, Gonzo, Rafa, semis, final. I reckon he should be able to make the 1/4s at least
