Does anyone know him ?
I saw him play in Marseille last week, and even if he lost (but it was vs J.Johansson) I thought he played quite good. So, if you have information about this player...

Ted, what mad tangent have you gone down that Yavor hugging everyone has inspired you to think of a fighting game? :haha:

No, the game has nothing to do with Yavor's reply  It came out of the blue.

(Yavor, out of the blue is an expression meaning out of nowhere, it's not about the color you're using )

you ask me once why i keep writing with blue and that's becouse i like diversity...........i hate this "black and white style"
I don't blame you, on the contrary : I like it

unfortunately only here...................Gillou's sanctuary is a magic place with beautiful people all around...........
Just remember two names, ted and Fran, the rest is just a bunch of side sandwiches :p (I'm kiddiiiing people, I just drank a little bit  )

Re: Gilles Simon's Chat Thread

I have a question about Czech Republic, btw - I don't know if you're the right person to ask that since you seem to spend most of your time with foreign students, as usual with those Erasmus-like scholarships, but never mind:

I'm a huge fangirl of Roman Sebrle (a Czech athlete, world record holder in decathlon). He's one of the most amazing athletes I've ever seen, the guy is a legend imo and it kills me he's not more famous worldwide. So I've always wondered if he's at least a huge star in Czech Republic. Do you see him sometimes in Czech media, in ads, etc.?

Re: Gilles Simon's Chat Thread

:haha:

sorry Frannie I did not see your second post :rolls:

honestly I dunno, I don't like too much czech people, I try to stay without them as much as I can, except for some cases they are unfriendly and look at people of south-west europe not so good

but if you want I can pay attention, btw never seen him in some tv spots or something like that

Re: Gilles Simon's Chat Thread

No problem! Well, if you happen to talk to Czech people until June, you can ask them if you remember the name.
Or I'll try to catch a Czech poster on MTF and ask myself, it will be easier. But they're not very chatty in the Stepanek thread.

Re: Gilles Simon's Chat Thread

haha! I'm fine with my team! We should work out our team maxim. ^^
but card games are soo last century. World of Warcraft anyone ?

Hey Lesley, I just checked your site, great job! :yeah:
just wonder why did you need a top frame on your home page (since what's in there could easily be made sticky on top of the main frame)? Besides both frames are resizable and inadvertently, I got something very weird, had to srcoll like mad to get back on the navigation bar. ^^
Also, some parts of the captions are lost in the gallery; I'm not familiar with JAlbum javasript but there are probably some parameters you can set to fix that problem. :]

I wanted to get the menu in the static top frame but I couldn't get it to roll down over the lower frame - but I think the code can be placed in a table - and so I can position it over the join in the two background pics - its a job for the weekend :) It's actually done a few odd things that weren't apparent when I was previewing it from my PC so I've a wee list of stuff to fix...
Also, some parts of the captions are lost in the gallery; I'm not familiar with JAlbum javasript but there are probably some parameters you can set to fix that problem. :]
I hadn't even realised that the captions would appear in the gallery like that (hadn't really used Jalbum much before) and I think I'll use an image editor to change the tags so they credit the original photographers - if I can, unknown territory (again) but I'm sure there will be a way...
Thanks for taking the time to look at it and comment - it'll totally change again soon enough probably! :) I need the practise :)

Re: Gilles Simon's Chat Thread

Even French websites say he's the most famous traitor in American history and also refer to Kerry using that phrase during his campaign (the Benedict Arnold CEOs), so it seems he's not completely unknown here either. I had never heard it before.
