Great win , even if it's on doubles, it's nice that he wins his 1st match after the Davis Cup dissapointment.

Thanks.
Still don't get what he meant by he's a sensitive player. But if he meant Gilles' allergic to DC, then I agree.

Anyways.
A double win, that's so great. He's at least get a win under the belt now. I hope the crowd's still supporting him despite DC, I think so, since MC is so close to Nice it's almost his hometown. We'll find out soon enough since he's playing 2nd match on Center Court tomorrow. The stream starts tomorrow, I hope. Allez.

Re: 2013 Spring European Clay Season, Allez!

Well, a pretty bad 1st set from Gilles. He should've won the set 6-2 after breaking Agut twice, but he failed both times to consolidate each break and then got broken again and lost it 6-3. Time to start worrying. Major points are at stake here.

He's so bad, so many UEs, so unsure of himself.

Unhappy Re: 2013 Spring European Clay Season, Allez!

And the misery will continue on along with a hefty loss of points for Gilles. He'll drop down to 17 or 18 now at least and I fear it won't be stopping there. I'm not sure if he's ever going to recover. Let's be honest, this was happening way before DC. Sure DC didn't help, but it's not the cause. I really fear we're looking at a plateauing Gilles. It's just a question now of where he's going to level out at. I hope he can manage to stay inside the top 30 at least so he will still be featured on some TV courts now and then, but things are looking pretty grim for him, and therefore subsequently, us these days.

Re: 2013 Spring European Clay Season, Allez!

This is so much more painful than DC..he was defending a million points and playing in his home turf.
Im going to Monte Carlo next Thursday and i was hoping to see him, like every year...OMG im so heartbroken
Im just hoping he'll bounce back very soon!
Allez Gillou you can do it! We love you

Re: 2013 Spring European Clay Season, Allez!

Was today's match poorer than DC? I didn't watch DC but today his level is worrying - no first serve, lots of UEs. Worst match I've seen him play this year.
