Well, all and all, he's done what he needs to do more of in these bigger tournaments early on which is be more efficient and not waste energy by dropping sets you should be winning and he hasn't dropped a set yet so he should have plenty of energy for his clash with tipsy yet again.
I think that the wind played a big factor in all the errors from both players today too. It was difficult to get any rhythm out there because the wind was really swirling and moving the ball around. Gilles did what he had to do and won on his ranking and better skills as a player alone.
I'd be more upset if he had had to slosh his way through two consecutive 3 set matches in the first 2 rounds, but since he's been pretty efficient, I'm ok with things for now.
