Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

OMG, even the UE is extrememly ugly, overhit a FH by 2 miles. I'm beyond myself in horror . Can only laugh.

Well, he holds that calls for a small celebration.

He's back on serve now . Only took him 23 mins to get into the match. Maybe he gets the UEs and DFs out of his system now? Hope so.

Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

Gilles has dug himself out of yet another unnecessary hole that he didn't have to be in to begin with. Now hopefully he's on from here on out.

Well, after 0-3, he won 6 straight games. 8 W/ 18 UEs, 5 DFs in Set 1.

Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

Well at least he's winning I guess, and that's mainly because Lorenzi started playing even worse than Gilles was, but it's some pretty bad stuff out there right now and not encouraging for when he starts facing better players. Hopefully he really cleans up his game in this 2nd set and starts playing a lot higher quality tennis.

Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

Actually, I think he turned it around in set 1 bcos his FH is much more crisp after about 4 games. Lorenzi was consistently not good even if he won the first 3 games.

Now Gilles back to his Set 1 error mode. Gosh, what the hell.

Well, he gave Lorenzi a second life, now the Italian is playing better, or maybe Gilles just sucks.

Well, maybe it's not a bad thing, maybe he figures he needs more match to get into rhythm for next match or sth, that's if he makes it to a next match.

Re: 2013 Spring US Hardcourts, Allez!

I'm sure Gilles will win this in straight sets, but it's just so stupid watching him get himself into these unnecessary holes and then dig himself out. Why not just come prepared and ready to play instead of being so casual and careless out there. The better players aren't going to give him all these chances to get back in the match or right the ship.

0-3 again this set.

Gilles' great at keeping his fans at the edge of the seat. It's like watching Friday the 13th, endless sequels of a horror show.

C'mon now, you think Gilles is being unprofessional? I mean, have we not learn that Gilles is a slow starter? And after he wins 1st set, it almost always happened that he loses the first serve game of 2nd set.
