Re: Clay season 2012, "Take Two" most definitely

He doesn't sound like he's feeling great, hopefully he can survive two more matches and then get some rest for the more important part of the clay season. When he's not feeling well, he never plays well because he doesn't move freely. Hopefully he's just tired and there's no injury.

Re: Clay season 2012, "Take Two" most definitely

Nothing new to add, but I just thought I'll also post the L'Equipe website article.

It said during the game, he complained about everything, like he can't hit his forehand...well, just Gilles being Gilles.

Re: Clay season 2012, "Take Two" most definitely

He played quite well today at moments, tough his BP conversion was bad (5/17), I found that sometimes he had reasons to be grumpy, line calls were sometimes very bad for him.

Re: Clay season 2012, "Take Two" most definitely

I'd say he had a rite to be grumpy after those two atrocious calls against him in the second set all in the same game no less. I was so mad I was about ready to put my foot through the wall. Luckily justice prevailed and Simon won the game for the third time only it finally counted . It also seemed to fire Simon up in a positive way because he was pretty aggressive on and against serve from there on out. A good solid performance. On to the finals we go Gilles!

Re: Clay season 2012, "Take Two" most definitely

Gilles , 10th ATP title for him, keeps having at least a title per season since 2007. He has 3 Bucharest titles, and it's nice to see that he has stringed some good tournaments in a row . He deserves to rest this week, and give all in Madrid.

Benoît Paire, Edouard Roger-Vasselin,Nicolas Mahut, Jeremy Chardy, Aljaz Bedene, Florian Mayer, Tommy Robredo, Evgeny Korolev, Albert Ramos, Guillaume Rufin
