Re: South American Claycourt Swing- Allez Gilles!

Gilles starts his match with typical Simon fashion, a break down *sigh*. Well, hope he comes back soon. Hopefully I'll find good news when I come back after dinner. Allez Gilles.

Re: South American Claycourt Swing- Allez Gilles!

Lost. Sadly, totally expected, even the scoreline.
I watched like 4 games at the beginning, his foot stuck on the clay several times, probably not a stretch to say that he hasn't find his clay foot yet . And the first game he was broken, missing like 3 put-away by UEs and a DF, broken at love. Oh well, hopefully he do better next week.

I wonder if this is the first time he gone further in double than single . Allez, the dreamy French team! Hey, they can concentrate on double here since both of them lost in single. Ha, you never know. Allez allez!

Re: South American Claycourt Swing- Allez Gilles!

Disappointing scoreline for me . Every time he has faced a good player this year he has lost( Dolgo, Bennetau, Monfils and Nalbandian). He hasn't defeated a Top-50 player since US Open 2011 when he beated Delpo. His best win in that period was vs. Giraldo. Really disappointing Gilles

Gilles Simon
Benoît Paire, Edouard Roger-Vasselin,Nicolas Mahut, Jeremy Chardy, Aljaz Bedene, Florian Mayer, Tommy Robredo, Evgeny Korolev, Albert Ramos, Guillaume Rufin

Re: South American Claycourt Swing- Allez Gilles!

Gilles answered questions on twitter (not his, so don't get too excited ). We can read the transcripts here. Thanks to Jorbaty in GM for alerting us the chat.

Hi! Where to send you the questions? Can I just post it here?

Personal life? Well, there are things that I want to know, although I don't want to be too intrusive:

- did he has a wedding yet? can he show his fans wedding pictures?
- we know he hate Facebook, but can he at least get on twitter?
- when he plays piano, does he has a favorite piece that he likes to play?
- is Timothy going to learn tennis and piano?

ok, that's all I can think of top of my head. When is the interview? Can you post a link or sth?
