Re: The Grass is Always Greener on Gilou's Court - 2011

6-4, 6-1. Would have been nice for a more competitive match I guess, I have no idea how seriously these are taken

The interviewer at the end told Gilles he had a big fan in the stands (some girl kept screaming). Gilles said yes and took the mic and i think he said "thankyou very much for the support, it would have been zero without you so thanks!" (I would have supported you Gilles if I could have gone!!!)

Re: The Grass is Always Greener on Gilou's Court - 2011

I saw the whole match, although I'm half asleep watching . The second set is all him, UEs left right and center. He didn't seem to move well. I don't think it's any physical issue, just not used to the grass yet or not quite in sync, shanked a few routine FH on far right corner, could just be the bounce, or the spin of DelPo, or could be just Gilles, perhaps concentration a little off, don't know. Overall the result not too concerning, however, he better up his intensity a little even in practice just to gear up for Wimby, just 4 days away.

Re: The Grass is Always Greener on Gilou's Court - 2011

no it wasnt me I was in the opposite stand. There were a band of I think slightly drunken ladies cheering rather loudly for him so I didn't think he needed me to add to that.

He was squeaking at himself like a girl when he made some really bad misses which made me pmsl, doing a lot of muttering to himself and saying no a lot lol. Tutu yawned the whole way through the match I've never seen him look so disinterested.

After the match he was talking on the practice court and I could have taken more pictures but he looked quite grumpy and I felt it was a bit intrusive so I didn't but I took a few from a distance with the zoom . He wasn't moving very well and wasn't moving Del Po around. He didn't seem to be getting down to the ball very well and his timing was off. I don't know whether he was a bit stiff. He was kind of doing some stretches to his one leg after the match so I don't know whether he felt a bit tight.

will post some pictures (although I warn you I'm a wicked bad photographer) at some point before the weekend.

he better not let Gilles saw him yawning , I bet Mr. Grumpy won't like that.

Thanks for the report. Will u be going again tomorrow for Gilles and Nole's match?

Hopefully it will be a better match from him tomorrow. I didn't have the volume on this morning when I watched, didn't know that he was squeaking at himself. lol, so at least he's mad for playing like crap.
