Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011

I see there's no taker for a new thread opener , so you have me again .

This time I can't think of anything fun to say, the desert is cool and the beach is fun, but sightseeing is not allowed. So don't be a tourist, Gilles, get on your horse and run'em down . Allez!

Re: Journey on to Indian Wells & Miami, 2011

Here's the IW draw:

Simon/Bye
Schuettler/Haase

Qualifier/Karlovic
Bye/Ferrer

So he draws Ferrer amongst the top 8, no complain, even though he has never won against David yet. And if he past R3, the next highest seed to meet in R4 is Almagro, not bad at all considering. And then Rafa in the QF if he manages to reach there.

I've been putting myself at the line of fire lately , so might as well . I do feel brave these days . We'll see if Gilles' good enough to handle "the luck" I bought him .

Well sure Ferrer isn't top 3, but I don't like the draw that much... Haase can be a very dangerous player in the first match, and then Ferrer deserves its #6, so I don't see Gilles going that far. I hope I'm wrong.

Ferrer is by no mean easy, but considering that Gilles has to draft a top 8 in R3 no matter what, and top 1 to 5 are all tough draw. Roddick in US tournament is also a tough draw. I mean, no top 8 is easy anyway, and Ferrer just went to SF of Aussie 2 mths ago. I will probably prefer Berdych, who's a little injured it seems and Gilles has a positive H-to-H against. But then, things don't always go our way.

Haase is very dangerous, but there's a lot of dangerous floaters around that are much worse than Haase (Del Potro, for example).
I don't think this draw is easy, I just think it could be much worse, so this is relatively not bad. But it's never easy in ATP1000 tournament, when he's seeded to meet a top 8 in R3. He needs to get back to top 16 .

Gilles' R2 opponent is Rainer Schuettler. Top half will start R2 on sat, I think.

He's off to a bad start. Against Schuettler? Really, Gilles?

Smyczek is up 5-1 against Philipp!

Le Poussin! Faithfully ignoring the haters since 1995.

Le Poulailler de Poussin! (Simontarded.)

Ron Paul for President 2012!
