Well at least it's a Giraldo played well story, not a Gillou played appallingly badly - that's better, though not great.

The most annoying thing was Gilles had so many chances, but on every chance he had the guy played a flawless point. Gilles was also very annoyed from the first game on, talking to himself so much and really frustrated. A lot of that came from Giraldo's game. It was just really annoying for me to watch.
Doesn't bode well for the rest of the season. No matter how Giraldo played, Gilles would have had a hard time winning a match when he gets in this sort of mood from first game on.

Thanks for the report and @your location info. ^^

Re: Advancing at the Australian Fair 2011!

Not sure soundly beaten by Giraldo is any better than playing appallingly bad. Either way, sucks that he starts another season grumpily yet again. Getting older hasn't calm him down yet .

Thanks Davodus for the pics and report.

Re: Advancing at the Australian Fair 2011!

Saw this at Ayane's blog, from L'Equipe:

BRISBANE —

— F. Ra.

Google translate is not doing that well so I don't quite understand what he said at the second half of the paragraph. But it seems he's not that good at keeping his new year resolution. Oh well, Gilles, you have a whole year to keep trying .
