I would've said Gillou won them
But then I always look on the bright side

Re: 2009 Grass Season

I was watching on Eurosport so I can't tell you Fran I'm sorry. That fall Gilles had did look sore. Is it just me or does he seem a little subdued in this match? Is his knee bothering him more than he's letting on?

Gillu has to close in two straight sets, otherwise I have bad feelings

Re: 2009 Grass Season

That high bouncing ball is more difficult for 1 handed BH-er to return, maybe that's why he's trying it?

Good hold Gillou, his serve helped him out of that game

Re: 2009 Grass Season

Hi everyone. I'm here to cheer on Gilles.
Is it just me or is he moving gingerly? He usually have great foot work but he seems to be reaching for the ball and not bending his knees either. Did he say his knee is healed before the match? Maybe lack of practice for the past week due to the knee problem, I guess.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about his movement. He was definitely moving VERY gingerly at the start of his match and seemed frightened to move at all. It is a lot better than it was but it is still hindering him a little. I'm surprised Dimitrov hasn't tried to take advantage of it more than he has but that's a good thing for us
