It is good to get those over with, then you really know who your favorite is. Who will it be, Alli?

Re: 2009 Clay season

Robredo is the big problem in terms of Gilles making another date with the new groom. He's 15-1 on clay so far this year, albeit largely against this era's not so great array of clay specialists.

Allez Gillou!

I'm really hoping he has some strong results this season, especially since he was dealing with injury during some of it last year.

PS: I wouldn't mind it if Stan breaks through against Federer should they meet.

I suspect that Stan is the player Fed would be least bothered about losing to in Monte Carlo, at this particular moment in time.

And Stan's time has come, since he did so well in Rome and put on such a battle in Miami (I didn't see the Nadal match, but get the impression he won a lot of fans, including Nadal fans). I'll be rooting for him for sure.

But if a third "accident" must take place, so be it.

Re: 2009 Clay season

strangely enough: no trace of Gilles in practise, neither yesterday, nor today. I did watch matches in between, but they were short, so I really wonder how I could have missed him unless he was very early bird.

Re: 2009 Clay season

Still no sighting of Gilles on the practice courts today, but I may have missed him, watched a lot CC myself, but tomorrow he can't escape as he is on CC twice.

Re: 2009 Clay season

I'll just second what cloudygirl said

Now here's the downside to having a regular sleeping pattern during the clay season - I'm at work and will miss the show. What a great line up though

Allez Gilles, Andy and Gael!
