Re: 2009 Chameleon Hardcourt Season Thread: Miami

Finally it was a good match but i was expecting more from both of them. It is pity that they were not playing good at the same time. At least it was better than gilles against gael.
ok gael now...

OK Thanks Isabelle. He looked devastingly sexy in the 2 minutes I saw of it. If that's any consolation

So I guess from your commentary that he played OK in the first set and then lost it completely? Was he still "lost" Gillou or was he enjoying the match (even though he lost)?
enjoying- no no no he was disgusting at the 2nd & 3rd sets.....I can't even recognize him there...........I've never been more pissed than today.........................for the first time I'm ashamed for him

he is always the bwest in that part of the game! Lol! too bad we missed him changing his shirt against Schettler!! still I think the best is yet to come! Jo is not an easy opponent!

I like your website about Gilles a lot! My admiration!

Now we need Monfils to win and my day would be saved

Re: 2009 Chameleon Hardcourt Season Thread: Miami

Thanks Isabelle I only organised it though, most of the stuff on it was provided by Fran and the other good folk of this forum

Yavor I'm now, I had hope that he was at least enjoying the first set. I don't really care at this point if he wins or loses, as long as he's enjoying himself again!

Re: 2009 Chameleon Hardcourt Season Thread: Miami

I didn't have the same feeling as Yavor at all. That's the feeling I had in his last tournaments when I was not even recognizing him out there. But today, even when he started playing poorly, he looked like himself to me, he was still playing his game, just too poorly.
But he obviously won't enjoy it when he loses two sets 6-3 6-2, all the more since Jo wasn't looking unbeatable at all when he broke in the 2nd set. He was looking really frustrated after having been broken again in the 3rd set - understandably with his serve being such a liability today.

Re: 2009 Chameleon Hardcourt Season Thread: Miami

I've been surfing here for awhile, but this is my first post. I have to agree with Fran; I watched two of his three !W matches in person. He seemed so out of sorts. The energy level was nonexistent. The paucity of first serves and the inability to convert break points really seem to be his Achilles heel at the moment. Thanks for all the information I have gleaned from all of you; it's a real education!

Welcome around, berserkley! He played only 2 matches in Indian Wells, so you saw all his matches there then.
