thanks so much it was exciting to find you all here, with personalities as great as his to match. If Gilles was an accountant, he'd be my favorite accountant, or a dentist, my favorite dentist, you know what I mean?

It's like a secret garden this forum
Full of serenity and gorgeous things to look at

He couldn't have got a better draw imo, I'm desperately looking forward to 2am Tuesday morning (Scottish time) to see Gillou get the better of Federer again, he'll be looking forward to getting Roddick back so soon after being beaten by him and then the big one - vs Murray and I'm not quite sure where my feelings lie on that one... or maybe I am...

But for once I'll be able to watch a whole tourney!

He's had a good rest, he's playing some fantastic tennis, he's in the zone - what better time to take on the worlds best and beat them! Did you see his h2h record in GM - thats top 5 form!!!

- Federer 1:0
- Djokovic 1:0
- Murray 1:2

Re: Indoor season 2008

Nothing interesting today in L'Equipe. They were supposed to practice 2 hours together today, but very gently because they're not very fit - Jo has a sore shoulder and water in the knee, Gilles hasn't done anything since the Roddick match.
The rest is about the draw and how *bad* it is for Gilles. They can't stress that ofen enough to keep the expectations low! (A lot of people don't know Gilles at all in France, they just discovered him after the semi-final of Madrid and hardly know how he plays, they've been told 2 weeks long that he is the new French number 1 then, so I often read completely surreal things about him on French sports websites.)

He said both. He mentioned the fact that Andy is so "hyper" on the court and it was unsettling him. But he also said that he was impressed by Andy's play on big points. Which I find a bit strange, I saw him against Gaël in Madrid and Jo in Bercy and I thought it was the opposite - but Gilles definitely said that after their match last time.

Re: Indoor season 2008

Wow, the FFT has a special page for the TMC now:
http://www.fft.fr/action/masters-cup/
They are big time at the FFT since Jo and Gilles were the only top players remaining at the FFT (all the others are either with Lagardère or working with private coaches).

I think it's the other way around, isn't it? 6 pm in Shanghai should be around 10-12 am on Monday for us in Europe (I don't know the local time in each country).

Re: Indoor season 2008

Finally I can enjoy the matches w/o sacrificing my normal time of sleep in the US and Europe tournaments.

We have the same time in Shanghai and our sports channel is broadcasting the matches
