Re: The video thread

I know it starts completely out of the blue, sorry. They're talking about the Olympics, for those who understand French - and the useless co-commentator is Di Pasquale.

Re: The video thread

Thank you, but I know one thing, that the quality of the videos isn't awesome.

I also edited just the last games of each set, if you only want to see the key moments:
1st set:

And 2nd set (Bennet helped a little bit, but the last BH is nice!):

Re: The video thread

DiP and the TV5 guy were so embarrassing, at the end of the 1st set they started wondering how many titles Gilles had won already - and during the trophy ceremony, they started discussing if it was Benneteau's first ATP final and really had no clue of the answer.
I actually would have expected DiP to know about Gilles' 2 titles in 2007, but I can not believe they didn't even look it up before commenting the final?!

Re: The video thread

A little video of Gilles at RG talking about that "Tennis et environnement" program which was launched today. He seems interested in that topic, says he volunteered to do it when he heard they wanted to have a French player.

This guy is perfect (I'm a bit of an eco-freak, living in Germany).

Re: The video thread

The video sounds interesting but I can't watch it because I'm not living in Europe.

Thanks for all your videos here Fran. I don't know why I can't good rep you. Consider yourself good repped ten times over.

Re: The video thread

Wow, they finally updated the Indy website! It was about time to get rid of the 2007 stuff for the semi-final day.

Highlights of the Becker match here - Gilles even won a couple of points at the net!:

Re: The video thread

Yes, thank you Fran for the highlights. From what I can see Gilles looks to be returning good and a couple of forays to the net by Gilles!

It turns out there will be no coverage of the semifinal on NBC this year.

It was already posted on GM, it's just to "archive" it - the last games against Tursunov in Indy:

And the highlights against Young:

I also recorded the stream yesterday in case anybody is interested - but it's not really worth it, even if Gilles was playing well.

Re: The video thread

They picked one of his points in Indy for the "Play of the week" on the ATP website - but I never get their choices, it's just a normal BH passing-shot, he played much more exciting shots last week:
