He got a bit lucky with this one. I think he should definately qualify here just as long as he's not to tired.

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

Let's remember that 2 months ago, in december his ranking was: 139 now 67

He is seeded no:1 in Q draw: great.

One day rest including travelling is scaring me.

They only play 2 Q rounds in Master...so it is not too bad.

On 2nd rnd could meet Oliver Rochus 150 or Ruben Bemelmans 117. Never met them before.

Anyway, he has about 220 points to defend this year. So just going up...

Yes, I think the same.
If he is not too tired he should win the both match, but we will see

First of all I would like to say that I'm very happy about the new threads, they are definitely needed.

Now back to business, as they say, and hoping that this is the right thread to post this - it seems we're going back to live scoring. Fourth match on Stadium 3

I hope got a bit of rest.
Go Ernie

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

Ernests is tired and is got the crowd against him.

1st set:
He produced 1 ace and 3 DF in first set vs C.Harrison with no break but lost it on tie break by a DF on set point and broken racquet it seems:
6-7

He didn't need 3 sets today. Maybe he will pump up for the rest after breaking racquet

2nd set:
great start with 2 breaks already. 5-0 now
Got broken and now is 5-2 serving for the set.
Made it 6-2

Only 3 aces in 2 sets

3rd set:
Breaks and will serve for 3-1
Saved a break pt and it is 5-3 ouf!

Harrison saved a br pt ...damn 5-4

Serving for the match:

HE MADE IT 6-4

A 2 hour battle. He must be relieved.

He had only 4 aces and 4 DF.

Must have been played on exchanges and he prevailed.

Next will be Oliver Rochus who won earlier.

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

He took the second 6-2. Maybe he can find the resources to end this quickly and in his favor. He just broke in the third and leads 2-1, getting ready to serve. Please hold

DF #4 for E.G. at 40-0 then Ace #4 for E.G. Live scoring can be fun! Ernie leads 4-2. Go Ernie

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

Ernests is doing great, considering how tired he must be. Edouard Roger-Vasselin, for instance, didn't make it against Zverev today. He did not give up easily though.
I didn't really expect those two (DB finalists) to put up such serious fights.
Impressive
