Couldn´t be happier This winning streak is unbelievable for Ernests fans As far as I could find, his longest streak was in 2007 when he won 2 Challengers in row - 12 matches.

Me too, so happy for him! Would be nice if he had a day break before the next match (a not-so-demanding 1st round opponent would be welcomed as well)

If he plays tomorrow, then his karma goes on...

He won both last meetings vs Lopez who had not played well in 2013 and is an aces producer...

Ernests will start hallucinating very soon...on yellow balls everywhere.

And because live streaming starts saturday only...

We could never see him play in IW.

OOP is out: He plays on stadium 2, last match of the day...which will probably be in early evening.

Time to practice earlier...rest a bit...and warm-up before the match...

Hope he goes through so he will have a day "off"...

Come on Ernests you can do it you have now become my favorite player because Gael is a challenger player now sadly and I always have had a love affair with you ever since you were at Pilic's academy.

Stronga,Monfils,DelPo,Nalbandian,Berdych,Gulbis,Ha as and Djokovic are the players I support the most.

No stream, damn it. I really start to dislike this event. Hope Ernests wins, and rubs it in their tournament-organizing unfriendly faces.

Tennis Channel starts friday for those in USA. But for us, not before saturday.
Very frustrating for a master 1000, that's not the way with other masters.

But there is a live radio this year, so if no big matches is on at the moment Ernests plays later, we could hear the live comments. Now they are commenting court no:4.

If he wins, we should see him vs Tipsarevic on tv court because Tipsy is seeded, well I hope, eventhough they are not american.

Anyway, he gained 26 pts and won't lose any if he loses 1st round.

He said in interview with New York Times, that he is tired... not surprising.

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

Thanks for the live radio tip! I think there's a chance they'll cover his match, as there's only* Dodig - Pella (and some ladies) playing the same time.
I'm afraid Lopez might take advantage on E's tiredness, but as they say "hope for the best, prepare for the worst".
As for Tipsy, I hate the thought that Ernests might actually lose to him. But if playing Tipsarevic means they'll put them on a cam-court, I say bring it on!
*with all respect

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

Here is the preview from Peter Bodo...hope his feelings become reality tonight.

Ernests Gulbis vs. Feliciano Lopez:

"This match, last on Stadium 2, is a tough one for both guys. Lopez, the Spanish lefty, has been struggling; Gulbis is on fire and up to No. 67, so he’ll have all the momentum on his side. He also leads the head-to-head 2-1, so you could be forgiven for asking “which guy is the qualifier?”

I have a funny feeling that many tennis-loving women of a certain age will flock to this match, if nothing else than to provide Judy Murray with some company.(She loves Lopez.) Don’t be surprised if some of them walk away all ga-ga over the wrong guy in this one."

Full article talking about qualifiers and struggles for main draw. (Gulbis in the list)

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

I tried to wait his match, but I give up now it's 3.30am...damn wta
Hope he will win first round...I think if he wins, next match would be on saturday so he will have one day to rest, finally
Janko is not in good form..After he losing first match in Dubai he sad for Serbian news that he needs support, he feels badly...I think he have three straight losses in first rounds (or second if he was free in first round)
If Ernie defeat Lopez, he has good chance against Janko, but I really hope that Janko is still in bad form, that he will not start to play well on this tournament.
But first Lopez, hope I will see good news when I wake up

Re: Cheering for Ernests: the Next Goal - Top 40

But he was broken on the 6th game 4*3 Lopez to serve. It is cold and very windy they say.
Ernests played in the wind in Delray, he might overcome
