Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

Five matches in a row. I'd almost lose count! That first set was really good last night. Proud

Scheduled on court 2, NB 4pm.

It says NB 4 pm, but there are 3 matches before and they start at 12, so Ernests will probably be on at around 6 pm or even later.

I couldn't watch the match but the most important is that he won...great result, no matter what happens in the next match, it would still be a good tournament for him.
good luck for Ernie, cross fingers.

Eh, that's not completely true. Matches on American hard courts can go pretty quick depending on who is playing! A lot of times I had to wait around before the 4pm matches to begin because the ones before it finished up an hour or so before that! Then again, a lot of the matches this year in Cincinnati didn't have close score lines. It really just depends on the matches and weather. He could get on court right on time, or very late! We'll see

He can beat Marcel. But I won't be too disappointed if he loses this match. Crash the party at NY is our goal, baby.

Or, you can keep it short and simple and just say... NB 4pm

Marcel wasn't playing well in Cincinnati, but neither was Ernests! I have no idea how that match will go but I really hope Ernests continues his run!

Rain delay in Winston-Salem....hope Ernests won't have to play 2 matches tomorrow if ever he wins. Finger crossed.

He is already in Main Draw. The US Open is a MUCH larger draw than in Masters tournaments. No Qualifiers needed. If you look at the qualifiers, the players are ranked much lower!

Play has resumed and Ernests should be on court in few minutes. It is 19:00 local time. We have a stream.

He won the first set 6:4 but got broken once in the second set. Marcel leads 4:2 now.

Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

Tons of unforced errors started to pile up from the second half of the second set and he got broken twice in the 3rd set.
Come on Ernests!

A good run, nevertheless. He got plenty of match practice, and achieved good wins. I'm very happy with what he's done this week.
