Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

I couldn't watch the match but I can imagine well enough how it went, I've seen it many times before. Hopefully with more match practice Ernests will be able to play well for longer periods of time.

Now on to the Davis Cup in Tunisia. Our team will be Ernests, Andis Juška, Mārtiņš Podžus and Jānis Podžus.

Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

I wouldn't call it that way. After an early break in third it all seemed to be ending soon (and without a proper fight). That's what I'd call "same shit" But then he found his motivation/energy/focus to level it up and take the match to a tie-break. He lost eventually, but hey. I've seen worse. Besides, Paulo isn't Heilbronn's nr1 seed for nothing.

He actually broke Mathieu's serve first in the tiebreak and did it again for the second time...but unfortunately he couldn't hold his serve and got broken back immediately. I would say the lack of consistency is still an issue and his forehand still looks strange to me

Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

I didn't watch match yesterday, I was following live score...I forgot how frustrating it was
I hate when he lose tight match
think he was two break down in 3.set but he still found way to go to the tie break (seems promising for rest of the season ),he has opportunity but he didn't use it...this is beginning of season, will be better
In Bergamo he will be much better player than others which are on entry list, but just on paper, hope that he will prove it.

on official website of Heilbronn Challenger are some pictures from yesterday's match.

Oh dear, I didn't realize he needed WCs to enter challengers now He'd better start collecting those points, or he may find himself a SE in futures soon

Re: Mission Possible: Getting Back to the Top 100

No,he isn't that low on list He is 138 on atp list. First on entry list is 122, and second 143.
He wasn't on entry list or alternates, I assume that he didn't mean to play in Bergamo, so that's why he got WC.

Ah, ok! (that's how it ends when one's too lazy to check the rankings)

Ernests will play tomorrow at 8:30pm Italian time. The tournament has a really nice website, with a lot of pics and videos. I am sure there will be a lot about Ernests...he is the "star"of the tournament!!

Ernests

Looks good indeed! And the evening session isn't bad either, knowing what an early bird he is

Yes, let's hope for a deep run this time.
He really needs it for confidence.
