Re: Ernests' news thread!

Hmmm so we're waiting for official confirmation..

If indeed they have parted ways,I think it would be an ideal time for Erno to link up with the Adidas Player Development Program pool of coaches.

Cheering for Nole Gilles Tomas Domi Stan Roger Sascha Struffi
Jamie Murray No 1 - AO Doubles Champ 2016 - congrats!
Thanks for the memories Juan Carlos

I know that is a gossip web, but the article was originally posted in the "news.lv".

He wasn't in Zagreb either, that doesn't mean anything.

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Zagreb was an out of the ordinary tournament, I think. Ainars was not with Ernests, too. If we are sure Karl was not in IW, imho this means something(ie, if they have not yet parted ways, it could take little to do that).
But we need to wait for official news - if there's any.

I have not yet got the reason why Latvians in general don't seem to like Ainars at all..

Hi guys

I agree, it doesn't mean anything, but it could mean something. Maybe something like deciding to be on his own for a while, which is encouraging from a few points of view I think…

If it’s true, well I hope it’s for the best. Also, I hope it won’t ruin RG, because a new coach is a big change imo and RG is so close and there’s a lot at stake there.
If he’s making changes, finally – it is so good to hear because nothing has been working properly for so many months; maybe he’ll make changes when it comes to his on-court attitude and maybe his travel companionship as well. Just sayin’

I’ve read the news yesterday and I was a little surprised but I couldn’t post my thoughts about it. I am so jammed up at work that my right wrist is starting to hurt and I have a feeling that I’m double-clicking on my sleep too I think I need to change my job and to get away from any PC.

Do you guys honestly think we'll get something official anytime soon?

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Hi! Very well respected sports journalist Maris Rimenis (also a tennis player himself) wrote in his blog today that they have indeed parted their ways. He knows Ernests personally, and his information is always reliable.
So find a decent coach, Ernest!

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Thanks, Jāni, good to have confirmation

In general Rimenis sounds rather optimistic in his blog which surprised me a bit. He says Ernie has developed a very good cooperation with a Chilean physical training specialist whose main job is with Ana Ivanovic. But he is helping Gulbis whenever they happen to be in the same tournaments. Rimenis expects (maybe he's just hopeful) Ernie to do well in the clay season because he'll be fit and he had success there last year.

He also mentions that Ernests just finished an interesting ad (I don't know for what product) and that people will be able to see it before Wimbledon.

Re: Ernests' news thread!

It seems to me like he means serious business . Maybe this is the long awaited 'change', I'm almost feeling relieved, don't know why exactly.

I too hope for a much better clay season, since the HC one has been so bad. (Doesn’t seem to make sense this clay season hopes, but he shines at RG so I’ll keep hoping .) Maybe he’ll reach top form just before RG and get a big boost of confidence.
