7 hours away by train for me but I don't care. I'm really hoping too much... As we know him

Re: Ernests' news thread!

well, this seems to be a gift for some die hard fans... imho. will you waste his possible efforts (as di wisely pointed out:big flight, change of pace of surface, considerable jetlag, etc)?

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Well, Ernie needs to pile up on match experience and ranking points. He did well there before; the good memories may help him. Lucky for Cath and Ellen if he plays there. Would be great to get first-hand news, and who knows, another chance encounter with Ernie by the players' lounge bathroom? These ATP tournaments are so Euro-centric it's not funny.

ellen is about to back out and leave me alone but it's true that it's a bit far away for her.
anyway I'm not gonna say nor plan anything unless we're sure he's gonna play
but yeah I like living where I live, it's the same with concerts you want to go to, there's always one that's not far away

Re: Ernests' news thread!

We should know pretty soon whether or not he'll play. Lucky for you as a tennis fan to live where you are- Metz, Heilbronn, Rotterdam, Paris, London - all within driving distance!

Re: Ernests' news thread!

wow, sudden change in plans...and I think the week after he has to go to Croatia, then in the States, all in three weeks. Hope he holds up well.

For some reason I think it would be kinda great to have him back at some stage of the challenger circuit. Get his confidence up, and it's a more humbling experience, I guess

He'll be among the top seeds if he plays there so he could well win it. That should help his confidence. I agree this is kind of a humbling move, going back to a Tier III event. But if Ernie doesn't think it's beneath him, well I'm all for it. Just hope he doesn't wear himself down with all the traveling. Looks like he's pulling a Jelena Jankovic kind of stunt, logging in so many frequent flier miles.

I wish it would be easier for me too... I thought about it the whole evening If I didn't have to get my results on Thursday I would go the whole week, together with you. I even thought about flights as you know, but 500 euros is really too much Anyway, nothing is sure yet but I'm still looking for a way to get there and to get back home.

like I said, I could really take you there. I'm not sure about staying the whole week either, I completely forgot we booked seats at the theater on Saturday, I'm such a bad friend these days
anyway we shouldn't make plans before we know anything for sure, but we really need to find out tomorrow, it's all so last minute already...

he didn't get the WC: http://www.heilbronn-open.de/Live/pu...&ActiveID=1011
I should have known it, German tournaments mostly only give them to their players... it's not the first time...

I don't think you jinxed it it was predictible, I'm quite mad, not because of erno, but because they chose no 700 and 900 in the world just because they're Germans... sometimes a little less chauvinism would do them good *hides in a corner before someone throws things at her*
and they decided it last night, it would have been a bit short notice for erno anyway

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Does he really need to play in Heilbronn anyway? Even with Ainars's "private jet" - which sounds more and more fictitious by the day - he'd be dashing among a few too many places.
