Re: Ernests' news thread!

NRA.lv has a review of Ernie's season here: http://www.nra.lv/zinas/8675-gulbis-...jai-ceribu.htm

Nothing we don't already know, though it's a concise recap of his year.

Somebody also commented in an earlier article claiming to know Ernests. The poster said Ernie is very nice and doesn't drink ("we only drink water in my country" yes...)

If they keep repeating this, we'll even start to believe it

Your link is old - it is about Davis Cup in Italy . I would also recommend not to trust those anonymous comments very much, nobody knows who writes them and what their mental health may be.
Ernests is on cover of Sporta Avīze though ("What is going on with Gulbis?") and there is a recap of 2008 (http://www.nra.lv/zinas/11232-progre...ojas-ranga.htm). Also a part of an interview with his coach http://www.nra.lv/zinas/11231-veters...am-uzvaram.htm.

Mr Janis

Thanks Yaniss for the links
Good article (first link), correct analysis… At least, the subject is only sport and nothing about the accident
For the one with his coach, it shows once again that Wetter is a good-fellow, confident, calm and lucid… Cool for Ernests, he is well-supported: family, good coach… Perfect

Re: Ernests' news thread!

Beware: 'Ernests Gulbis' translates into Stingray....

For more "oh no they didn't" moments, try translating 'Ivars Lembergs'...

Re: Ernests' news thread!

I laughed so hard the first time I read 'Stringray', but I'm kinda used to it already
And Ivars Osbourne??

When I translate Gulbis to Dutch I just get "zwaan"

I don't get the Stingray part and I don't get why in French they translate Gulbis to "swan"

Yes, I have the French version too. Gulbis translated to 'swan'… in French The article is a mix with French, English and Latvian…

It reminds me of something: all at the last minute with my studies… Oh, the sleepless nights at the uni (without coffee -yuck!-) But don't worry, I'm sure it will work
Fingers crossed for you, Cath
