I was JUST going to ask about Andis. I knew he was injured a bit during DC so I wanted to ask if anyone knew how he was doing! So happy for him!

I was just coming here to post the same news. I was shocked when I read it, he's only 24 years old! Well, in any case, good luck to him and to the team.

It's great, but isn't it a bit too much for him? I mean, he's only 24. Coach duties (esp in the DC) are based on experience and (to some extent) authority. But who knows, maybe he has 'that something' in him. Good luck Karlis!

You are underestimating Karlis a bit too much aren't you?! He is young but let him have his chance! I know he wants to coach and I completely believe in him! I'm very excited for this, especially since I know Ernests and possibly some of the other guys weren't too keen on Girts anymore!

They also say in the article (sportacentrs) that Karlis is currently coaching Shahar Peer from Israel who is ranked 49 in WTA. I couldn´t find any official info on that though.

Re: Riga Mortis: General Latvian tennis talk

Woah! Last I heard Peer was seen with Bresnik at Roland Garros. Karlis could have been there as well. Would be interesting if that were true! In an interview he said he wanted to coach so it would be nice for him! She isn't on the entry list for Cincinnati...would she be in qualifiers? I'll be there so I will keep my eye out! Also, if this is true I don't think he can party with Ernests as often Page boy might have to come back!
