Re: Riga Mortis: General Latvian tennis talk

Regarding the question in rankings thread, there are no Latvians in Challenger or Futures action this week. There is one more set of Challengers to take place next week. Even after weeks where they don't play, their ranking positions may still change.

There are still Futures events until the final week of the year.

Deniss is entered into Dominican Republic Futures event next week, watch this space

I wasn't sure what thread to put it in. I guess the Latvian Language thread made more sense. Whoops!

Re: Riga Mortis: General Latvian tennis talk

An update, not a very happy one but still...

Helsinki CH qualifying

Andis received a bye in the 1st round as 4th seed, but then sadly quit his 2nd round match trailing 1-4 in the opening set,to Daniel Glancy of Ireland.

There was no official reason given for his retirement. I hope it's nothing long lasting and he'll be OK soon.

Updates on Deniss in Dominican Republic to come soon!

Re: Riga Mortis: General Latvian tennis talk

Andis is still playing doubles here, so it shouldn't be anything too serious. Well, let's hope not! (since I didn't see him playing on Saturday, and I would love to see the double at least )
