Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Well I guess I answered my own question Filo will be playing in BA. It's nice to see him back and playing on the red stuff.

Good Luck in BA Filo!!!!!!!

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

What a nice easy win for Filo. I guess he's all healed and ready to go. Next up is Thomas and Filo leads their head to head 2-0 and he hasen't dropped a set against him.

Good Luck Filo!!!!!!

Behrend is a good player nowadays. tough match because Filo is just back from injury. He should win still, but it wont be easy.

Volandri won in 3 tough stes against behrend. 3-6 7-6 7-6

That is a good win, he needs a hard match.

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

I'm so happy Filo has come back so strong from his injury. I was kind of worried he wouldn't even play BA. Next up us Calleri and he leads their head to head 1-0. It was a tough 3 setter and it was on hard. Hopefully Filo can get some revenge against Calleri.

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Filo wont today!!!!! It was a good 1st but a sloppy 2nd. I'm just glad he got through in str8's.

Best of Luck in the Finals Filo!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Great win for Volandri! This has been a good tournament for him. Coming back from injury he had an easy first match, then a really tough second to get him competitive and now 2 winnable but tough matches. Now though he has Moya, this is a different test to anyone else he has played and after his injury Im not sure if he will win this. Hopefully he does!

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

I think Filo has a good chance against Carlos. Carlos was kind of Lucky in the semis. The thing is Filo is going to run down a lot of Carlos balls and that will get to him. Plus Carlos is having a hard time with his bh, he's just pushing it and slicing a lot.

Best of Luck in the Final Filo!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Also young Fognini pushed Moya hard which must give some belief to Filo.

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Filo lost the final in tough straight sets. 7-6 6-4, but as I mentioned this was a great torneo for Volandri to get back into shape. After this I want to see him playing better matches.

Re: The Filippo Volandri cheering thread

Awww Filo. It really sucks he lost in the final and in str8's. Like u said Champ its a good tourney for him after coming back from injury. At least he'll get some good points for getting to the final.
