Re: Second half of season 2012.

Now, it's clear: Marin will be 12th seed at the Olympics if he get final in the Hamburg. He would be atleast 14th (depends will Fish win Atlanta) in the rankings, Nadal just withdraws and Fish will not play the Olympics. That would mean he will not play vs top 4 players in the 1/8 finals. That would be big thing.

If he loose in the semis he will be behind 10 points behind Simon.

Re: Second half of season 2012.

6:4, 7:6 (5) for Marin.

Should be easier because Marin serving for 3:0 in the 2nd (he was on 5 games winning run again). Referee took a point of him for double mini-break and 3:0 in TB. However he won it with an ace at 6:5. Ramos is a good player. Problem is Marin is tired. He seems to be from the beggining of tha match. I like Marin is speaking more on the court, even when he is winning ("idemoooo".

Btw, he is on 14 sets winning strike, that is his record. He won Zagreb Indoors 2009 without droping a set and that was his record before.

Wasted 3:0 and 5 SP's. Haas won his first one. Once again, when it's important, Cilic proved he is 100% loser. That's in his blood, it is not worth to follow him.

In past 5 weeks he played a lot of Tennis so his legs are getting tired. There's a reason why top players don't play every week but take breaks in btw. He should have pass on Hamburg, only 90 pts to lose and take extra two weeks to prepare for Olympics. let's hope that a week will be sufficient rest to get ready for playinfg doubles and singles, If rested I think him and Godig have a good chance in doubles.

It wasn't about legs, it was about head. Ok, fack is only one set ball was on his serve anh he missed ace for one inch. After he lost set on that way it was normal to loose a 2nd set. Pitty he didn't win, he would get 12th seed, 13th plce on the world, one more final and even title maybe.

Re: Second half of season 2012.

Too bad about this loss. Not because it was crucial to win this tournament but because he could have been in much better position for the olympics.

But so far good start of this part of season, 430 pts already in two tournaments.

Fan list: Cilic, Federer, Coric

P.S. Watch out for Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, 2020. Hopman cup winners. - posted in 2011, let's see if it happens

Re: Second half of season 2012.

Tough draw for Marin at the Olympics.
First round Melzer, possible 1/8 final with Djokovic.

Draw with the 18 out of 20 top players is always going to be tough no matter what. I just hope that he has recuperated from playing to much tennis. For him to go to top 10 he'll need to beet top players. He has the ability but he needs to bring his head in order.

Re: Second half of season 2012.

He is 5:2 up in the first set. If he reach the 3rd round he will probably play vs Djokovic (so, he is out).
If he converted one of those 5 set balls vs Haas he would probably win that match, which means he would be on Almagro's place and he would have open draw until quaters because Troicki, Darcis, Giraldo, Bogomolov would be his (potential) rivals (Berdych loose to Darcis). And he wouldn't choke that. He would play Djokovic in quaters, but atleast he would play quaters.
