A perfect "head" coach for Marin. I think it's a good idea, Goran was an aggressive player and he always wanted for Marin to be more aggressive.

Marin gets his 2nd top 10 win of the season, beats Berdych 7-5 7-6(4).

I could not agree more. Goran needs to transfer as much of his game (the "right" game for a tall Croat) to Marin as possible!

Are you sure about that. I think he was already 12th seed. And now he willbe 11th. He could be 10th if he wins today.

I thought the same. Berdych and Tsonga, he beat both of them in last matches (won vs Berdych on grass). Gasquet would be beatable, too. But better not to talk too much cause he could get Nadal, too.

Kei N leapfrogged him and Haas as both had to defend tittles this week. Haas lost in SF and Marin is in a final. So Kei is currently 11th, Marin 12th and Haas 13th. If Marin wins today he'll be 11th.

Re: Let's cut some grass in 2011.

Don't forget that Wimbledon also honours your grass results in past two years and Marin should be 10th seed when that standard is combined with current ranks.

Fan list: Cilic, Federer, Coric

P.S. Watch out for Donna Vekic and Borna Coric, 2020. Hopman cup winners. - posted in 2011, let's see if it happens

Re: Let's cut some grass in 2011.

Despite the three-set loss to Murray in the final of Queen's, Marin played well today. It's good to see that he's playing the right way (aggressively, and coming into the net). I'm optimistic for a second-week showing at Wimbledon, at the very least.

Not much (or any) difference from 9th to 12th place but huge if you're 13th seed. All in all I think he can go far if he avoids few tricky players in early rounds. It looks like he feels comfortable on the grass and getting into finals in queens with a strong draw and loosing by a small margin should be great for his confidence.

Just solid, nothing more than that. Quaters would be really good result and semis would be awsome stuff. I am afraid he will not pass R16.

Re: Let's cut some grass in 2011.

It's seems like Marin is some different player now. Seems he has alot of confidience and his game style is good and different (plays agressive, comes on the net, he mix his game, use alot of slices, use drop shot very often, even trick shots, stays low in the knees which is very important on grass, footwark is just adjusted for grass, has confidence in his shots, he is cluch when he faced break points, use good approachiace shots). I hope that is because he fired Brett and took Ivanisevic instead.
Future will tell us.

PS If he get Nadala od JMDP I thought Gasquet will be 8th seed) he will probably loose in R15 and that is expected but if he get Berdych or Tsonga he could make quaters.

Re: Let's cut some grass in 2011.

I think he can beat JMDP based on current form. He should be the favorite for the QF in any section, but Nadal's

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world
