2007 Preview - By Nathaliia:

Ouch, what a poor entry list... sorry. Also the local matador Boggo chose another event - probably good for him, he can gain a reasonable amount of points in Heilbronn, and in Wrexham - he won last year, so he has something to defend. Chris Guccione is a hero of last days, surely is counted as the favourite of the event, also Robin Haase, the young Dutchman is one to watch. He made a big jump in ranks, let's check if he's going to stay at this level for some time, or he's ready for another tiger's jump. Probably the highest ranked players didn't choose this event, but many interesting ones did. Daniel Koellerer is one to be followed for obvious reasons. As a Pole, I should recommend you "Polish Federer" Michał Przysiężny. If he's not injured, he can win against really good players, but he's injured for 95% of the time. Jeremy Chardy is another "youngster to watch", while Pavel Snobel has definitely the "hair to watch". Home hopes are located in persons of J. Marray and Richie Bloomfield. I expect them to win at least two rounds (hmm, depends on a draw, anyway ).

Re: Week 4: Wrexham, Great Britain

Or should I write it like this:

Once upon a time, in a beautiful town of Wrexham (where hopefully not only the wrecks happen to live) was organized the small challenger event. My story tells about the AD 2006, time, when English tribe was predicting whether it would be Portugal or Germany to kick them out of the footie World Cup. She(ri)ff(steel) of Nottigham sent his page to the press office of Wrexham with the (g)entry lists with the wild cards announcements. And the press office was crap, and the phone was dull. And the website was a joke.

Probably the biggest joke and the proof of weakness of this event was the fact that seeded one was nobody else but Jean-Rene Lisnard, playing those times for the Princedom of Monaco. Actually, he was a French spy from the Blue Coast, so Prince Albert needed to kick him out of his bob and shell up back to France from a cannon. But those times Lisnard was sent by Prince Albert with a mission to UK to grab the trophy. As he was too miserable to steal it, he needed to participate in a competiton. After sending David to the forrest of Sherwood, he sent back home the representant of India. But that match was already Harsh. Mankand, even. So when in the quaterfinal he had to meet his ex compatriot, Stephane Robert, the score was opened. And when closed, the Frenchmen turned out to be a winner. This brave qualifier came there for the personal reason - the Vikings kidnapped his beloved Brunhilda, so he seeked revenge. Defeated Dane Kristian Pless and Swede Michael Ryderstedt for the beginning. In the semifinal outplayed the a bit Scandinavian looking Belgian Stefan Wauters. Was about to meet in the final the Serbian hostage of the hosts, best gladiator in Albion, Alex "Boggo" Bogdanović. Young Boggo didn't have the easy way to the final. First needed to defeat Martin Lee, who got the Wild Card to the event because of his close relation to the MTF's Non Tennis Moderator - Lee. The battle took 3 sets and finished in tie-break. Next clash versus Swiss representant Ivo Heuberger was dramatic for other reasons. The Swiss used to be a lover of Princess Hingis, who dumped him because the old witch predicted her to once kiss the lips of a frog and turn him into real prince. Since that time Swiss player wanders from one tournament to another and seeks luck. In Wrexham he found the bad kind of luck, minding he got an arrow into his belly and needed to withdraw at 6-3 3-0 for Bogdanović. In the quaterfinal gladiator played the famous Vladivostock's tundra fighter, who tried to bite with dropshots, but Boggo volleyed things back and in the semifinal sent a Frenchie home. It was J.M. Pequery, a good musqueteer. Robert seeked some revenge for his compatriot, but didn't find it. The British mob started to carry him on hands and already announced the best challenger player of eternity. However, the French Robert and Bachelot managed to win doubles from Flemming and J.Murray, the Brits.

And this British property (trophy) in France caused another Hundred Years War.

But I will tell you about the military actions while writing 2007 preview.

I will burn
And you will die...
