Re: World Group Play-Offs: Korea Rep. at Netherlands (September 19-21, 2008)
There is a match report written by a Dutch journalist on the Davis Cup site, it is highly critical of Jun, saying that the Dutch team tried to play all balls to him because he was missing most balls and playing horribly. I actually think the report is not suitable for publication on the Davis Cup website, the author should have used more subtle wording when describing Jun's weaknesses, instead of a character assassination. While the story may be mostly true, the author was apparently unaware that reports in the international press and especially on the Davis Cup website should be a little more diplomatic.
Tomorrow, you would expect Lee to be good enough to beat Huta Galung. Considering the bad impression left by Jun, it seems likely that the rested Im will then take on the second Dutch player which could be De Bakker but is still under consideration (Wessels?). In short Korea may still have a chance.
