Re: German Bundesliga 2011

How come in one team apparently Korolev plays for Russia and Gaba plays for Georgia, epic scenes.

Why Gaba plays for Georgia, this is the main question

Re: German Bundesliga 2011

Still can't exactly understand why players choose to play competition and not Challengers. Don't think it's about the prize money.

Tsonga - Wawrinka - Del Potro - Gasquet - F.Lopez - Monfils - Haas - Janowicz - Youzhny - Tomic - Hewitt - Gulbis - Mahut - Haase - Schoorel - Sijsling - Huta Galung - De Bakker - Van der Duim - Westerhof - Middelkoop - Koolhof - Lootsma - S&T. Griekspoor - Sels - Van Rijthoven

All time: Safin - Schalken - Krajicek - Sluiter - Verkerk - Henman - Ivanisevic - Nalbandian - Ferrero - Philippoussis - Sampras - Siemerink - Blake - F.Gonzalez - Ancic - Haarhuis/Eltingh

Still supporting all the Dutchies despite their great choking skills
Looking forward to the Dutch Futures and Challengers this summer!

Re: German Bundesliga 2011

It's very good money, excellent crowds as well for these matches. If they lose early in a tournament, then they play the league matches which are on a Friday or Sunday. This is why they have big squads.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: German Bundesliga 2011

1. Cash (yes, it's not small)
2. It's the clubs where they also practise (or that are their base while in Europe if they're from another continent), so they owe something to them in return
3. Weekend matches anyway.

For the teams or for the players who come to play ? Last year in lequipe there was an article about the money in that interclub Articles, videos, news... about French tennis They write that for Bundesliga a tie/match that was around 4000€ for a 150# players or 2500€ for a 250#. That's interesting if it's right. In french interclub it would be around 15000€ for a players who play all the ties. Then it depend of the status of each player.

Re: German Bundesliga 2011

What a beast this Kas is! After playing 3 matches bo5 matches in 3 days I think (two of them in 5 sets) on grass he immediately plays the day after on clay!

Oh and yeah... of course Mayer beats Malisse in an unimportant match (although Malisse is way worse on clay than on grass of course)...

Federer |Söderling |most of the Germans

I also like: Wawrinka | Tsonga | Dimitrov | Isner | Gulbis |

Warm regards: 6-3 6-0 / 6-3 6-4
