I'm not sure if anyone will read this thread but still I'll post here
Four 1-set singles matches:
Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) def. Tomas Berdych (CZE) 6-2
Kolya was 0-2 down with 3 or 4 double faults. Then he won 6 games consecutively to beat Berdych. It seemed that Kolya's not giving any "face" to Tomas
Robin Soderling (SWE) def. David Ferrer (ESP) 6-4
Robin was up an early break. David broke back. Near the end of the set, Robin broke again and won. David was serious, he ran down to every ball. The serve & winners from Robin are just too good
3rd place battle: David Ferrer (ESP) def. Tomas Berdych (CZE) 7-6
Tomas actually had an early minibreak in the TB. He smiled a lot and got broken back
Very good effort by David. How many singles matches (normal and exhibition matches included) have Tomas lost in a row now? Maybe 6?
Championship battle: Robin Soderling (SWE) def. Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) 7-6(6)
Kolya held a matchpoint at *6-5 in the TB but he nets a backhand ball. Then Robin broke and served it out.
Tomas Berdych (CZE)/David Ferrer (ESP) def. Nikolay Davydenko (RUS)/Robin Soderling (SWE) 7-5
It's a highly boring match and many of the audience left during the match
Unfortunately, the match dragged on and on with many breaks.
Interesting sight seeing them pair up like this though...
