MARK PHILIPPOUSSIS TO DEBUT AT THE BNP PARIBAS TENNIS CLASSIC
Australian tennis player and former Wimbledon finalist, Mark Philippoussis has confirmed he will make his debut at the 2010 BNP Paribas Tennis Classic held between 15th – 19th June within the grounds of the stunning and luxurious Hurlingham Club in South West London.
The BNP Paribas Tennis Classic is an exclusive event providing the ideal way to entertain during the peak of the summer tennis season. With access limited to sponsors, hospitality guests and members, the Hurlingham Club provides the perfect back drop to watch legends and current ATP players perform while also enjoying a champagne reception, lunch and afternoon tea throughout the day.
Philippoussis joins former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash at the head of this year’s field. Also taking part are annual BNP Paribas Tennis Classic legends Mansour Bahrami, Henri Leconte, Peter McNamara and Peter Fleming.
Joining them for a mixture of competitive singles and more relaxed doubles matches are some of the world’s top ATP tour stars who will be honing their grass court skills in the week before Wimbledon. Lleyton Hewitt, Tomas Berdych, Fernando Gonzalez and Stanislas Wawrinka have already confirmed with more ATP players to be announced.
The confirmed legends for 2010 are:
Mansour Bahrami, Jeremy Bates, Pat Cash, Younes El Aynaoui, Peter Fleming, Henri Leconte, Peter McNamara, Mikael Pernfors, Mark Philippoussis and Cedric Pioline.
