Re: A new appeal moderator

It should be a public poll for sure, people should take responsibility for who they select imo.

I don't see the need for three ballots, but don't oppose to the idea either.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

adds to the drama and tension, the way we like it at MTF

I too would like to see a public vote, no need for secrecy, even though it might mean we get less votes overall.

This is good; if people are not willing to take responsibilty for their vote, they should not be voting in the first place imo. Making the poll anonymous will give people a sort of freedom to vote for whoever if they're not sure - that is not what we want, is it?

Are real life political election votes made public or kept anonymous?

If anything, I think keeping it anonymous would encourage more people to take responsibility and vote, which is what we want? Isn't it?

I see no advantage in making votes public, apart from satisfying the candidates' desire to be nosey.

Who voted for whom is officially documented. On MTF, if the poll is anonymous there's no way for anyone to know that, even opening up the possibility of double accounts voting.

And no, we don't want many people to vote for the sake of it, we want people to vote consciously. Getting their vote 'seen' by everyone will only further encourage them to not just vote for the sake of it.

Re: A new appeal moderator

Lenders is one of the most objective guys on the board when he's serious whilst djokovicgonzalez, viruzzz, Jverweij and The Bulldog would be in my second group of favourites. Some of the other names would make me consider asking for a permaban...

As for the number of ballots, the only issue with one would be too much choice and the vote of 1-2 people swinging the decision. If only 20 people vote in a 10-man field, someone can win with 3 votes :/. 2 ballots sounds reasonable, 3 won't be too much either.

Allow 3 votes apiece first round, one in next two?

Whatever it is that you choose to do, hurry up about it.

The propaganda machine is about to kick into action.

I am going to make Goebbels look like an amateur.

Lol, any mod who would want to give you job should lose his

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Any one of these names would be fine for the job as far as I´m concerned.

I suggest every forummer reads this and selects a name not mentioned by Looner and with any luck he will be gone fairly soon.
