Early Commitments

Federer and Nalbandian are both in this year's line-up, as well as Swedish home favourites Robin Söderling, Thomas Johansson and Jonas Björkman. Announced at a press conference today.

So is Federer planning to play Stockholm, Madrid, Basel and Paris in a row?

I see that as a poor scheduling decision.

He will not be playing in Asia and that gives him some rest. But I agree that it's a tough call. Maybe he will miss Basel, but that's unlikely

last 3 years he was scheduled to play 3 straight weeks and 2 of those years he withdrew from one tourney (don't remember what happened 3 years ago)...........so playing 4 weeks in row
