Does anyone know whether there is a livestream for Wimbledon 2008? In Germany you must subscribe to the Pay TV channel Premiere and the livestream on wimbledon.org is not available in Germany as I've just recognized ...
But I really want to watch the tournament so are there any possibilities? Please let me know! Thanks...

Premiere will show the matches on 2 chanels. Last year they showed most of the germans matches and a lot more mens matches than womens matches.

Re: T.V. Schedule

Since for some reason I put my faith in this TV listing alone, without going to the ESPN site too, I was unaware that ESPN Deportes also has coverage. When I got tired of Hewitt/Haase, and that I wasn't getting any updates on some of the other matches I was interested in, I turned on ESPN Deportes, hoping that the ticker at the bottom of the screen during a soccer match or something would give me the info I wanted, and it turned out they were playing Wimbledon, the last game of the Verdasco/Kohlshreiber match. I have no idea if they played more than that, but it's never a bad idea to check ESPN Deportes for possible alternate matches.

Save Rafa!

Wimbledon: making the most of Monday 6/30

Since Monday will feature all eight mens' R4 matches (six of which I anticipate pretty highly) and I don't have work, my goal is to see as many of these while minimizing losses, like being stuck with a WTA match, getting tape delayed, or getting stuck with a livestream when it's available on TV. This post outlines the OP, TV schedules I'm aware of, and potential viewing "losses."

The OP (EST - I don't know much about European TV schedules or availability, other than a few streams available to those in the US):

Federer vs. Hewitt - 8:00
Kuznetsova vs. Radwanska
Gasquet vs. Murray

Court #1:

Vaidisova vs. Chakvetadze - 8:00
Nadal vs. Youzhny

Safin vs. Wawrinka

Court #2:

V. Williams vs. Kleybanova - 7:00
S. Williams vs. Mattek
Tipsarevic vs. Schuettler

Court #11:

Ancic vs. Verdasco - 7:00
Dementieva vs. Peer
Cilic vs. Clement

Court #18:

Jankovic vs. Tanasugarn - 7:00
Baghdatis vs. Lopez

US TV schedule:

7:00-10:00 (live) ESPN2
10:00-13:00 NBC
13:00-18:00 (live) ESPN2

The clear traps for US viewers are the two Williams matches, which at worst will probably run from 7:00-9:15 and 9:15-11:30, and NBC's coverage. NBC isn't listed as "live," and I suspect they'll broadcast taped matches as have been doing.

My guess about what US TV schedule will permit:

7:00-10:00 (ESPN2): V. Williams live, Fed live, possibly Jankovic or Ancic live
10:00-13:00 (NBC): V. Williams and Federer taped, S. Williams live, and possibly Rafa live.
13:00-18:00 (ESPN2): Gasquet-Murray live, Wawrinka-Safin live, possibly Rafa live
19:00-23:00 (Tennis Channel): ?

Ideally, NBC will show live coverage and thus Rafa's match, but I won't bet on that. Anything I miss I can hopefully catch with Tennis Channel, but there's no predictability there (and they will probably deal to lay-US audiences with Williams sisters and Fed, possibly Rafa). The matches I want to catch but anticipate having some difficulty seeing are thus:

Nadal vs. Youzhny
Baghdatis vs. Lopez
Ancic vs. Verdasco

I don't know how I will see Baghdatis vs. Lopez. I'm hoping Rafa will get in there somehow, possibly near the end of NBC's coverage or at 13:00 when ESPN2 comes back. Ancic could possibly get some coverage from ESPN2 early on.

I plan to suppliment US TV with a few streams, though I don't know their schedules yet. This may be the most helpful bit: http://myp2p.eu/competition.php?comp...cipline=tennis

Anyway, I hope this thread helps your viewing in some ways. If viewers outside the US have any tips, or US viewers have any other nerdy strategies lined up, please share. I anticipate a pretty exciting set of matches tomorrow.

Re: Wimbledon: making the most of Monday 6/30

Well, I am ussually handling this situations by watching three matches at a a time (1 at satelitte or regular TV and other 2 on 2 computers- streams from ESPN360), but to be honest I hate it and I prefer when there is only 1 match to watch.
