This is his official calendar, coming from his official website :

Avril :

> Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters (Monaco) – Du 11 au 19 Avril (1000 ? )
> Open Sabadell Atlántico 2008 (Barcelone) – Du 20 au 27 avril (500)

Mai :

> Internazionali BNL d'Italia (Rome) – Du 28 Avril au 4 Mai (1000)
> Mutua Madrileña Madrid Open (Madrid) – Du 10 au 17 Mai (1000)
> ARAG ATP World Team Championship (Dusseldorf) – 17 Mai (250 ? )

> Roland Garros (Paris) – 24 Mai au 7 Juin (GS)

The problem is that he isn't on the entry list in Monte Carlo, so maybe a WC or an error  .

He seems to be playing all the 1000, one 500 and the arag machinchose for whatever the weird reasons he is there  .

It would be his first full clay season on the pro tour, so good luck, Jo :worship:

:ras: bad bad draw. this better not be the tourney where richie decides to step it up. Good Luck Jo! I'm so excited to watch Jo on clay. Only good thing about the 1st round match up is I'm pretty certain it will be televised on french national tv and I'll most likely find a livestream.

It seems like I've waited forever to see Jo play on clay. Tough first round match against Gasquet, it will be interesting to see how well he adapts to the surface. Win or lose, there's still time to look ahead to the big prize: Roland Garros. Good luck Jo! Just do your best, any win is a bonus (so many points to be gained on clay and grass), and any loss a learning experience.

I've got really mixed feelings about this match. I really don't know who I want to win. I think I'm just going to sit back, relax and not really mind who wins ... although I have a SLIGHT preference for Richie I must admit because I would like to see him get back to his best and yet I love Jo too!!! I'm so

Hopefully Jo can play well against Gasquet. A good start with a doubles win.

hmm, it appears Jo-Richie match has not even started. I wonder if it is postponed to tomorrow.

Oh that's just awful, no spectators? I won't have a chance to watch if he plays tomorrow morning

Ok, according to the official Rome tournement website, Jo's match is not cancelled yet, the doubles match on the same court originally scheduled to be played after Jo-Richard is cancelled. Fognini-Volandri match is currently on that court and so far it's 5-5 in the first set. Per favore attractive italian guys, hurry it up a little. I really wanted to watch this.

yes, I'm watching it on bet365, I registered a while back to watch livestreams. I didn't pay anything and it didn't require credit card info. just email address.
however check out channelsurfing and atdhe, too. they have links too. those links kept freezing on me. i'm guessing it's because of my incompetent internet service provider. so you might get a good stream without having to register.

This is awful! All that nervous tension and stress waiting in vain to play, and now the winner has to play 2 matches on the same day with barely enough rest. Most players have completed their first round matches and Jo and Richard appear to be severely handicapped. However, they are pros and accept such conditions. I wish both of them mental fortitude and physical strength, and all the best to whoever makes it through (hopefully Jo).

JoWi , this match deserved better than 1st round.

I didn't know whether to post this or not (I did mention it on Richard's boards but none of the others heard it but they were watching on livestreams I think) but the crowd were terrible from what I could see. I was watching on Sky tv and some of the crowd were whistling and making ape noises when Jo was about to serve. He actually turned to the crowd at one point almost as if to ask them to stop it. That kind of thing disgusts me. I think that is what got to Jo today and I wonder if he will mention it in any interviews.

Ah, I did hear when he said to the crowd "c'est bon là, arrêtez !" (stop now !) but I didn't know why he was saying that  really Vicky, that's terrible :( They need to get themselves a life !

They'll probably ask Jo about it in the press conf. It's really sad to see things like that nowadays, especially in tennis which has been kind of spared by that until recently, with the golliwog comment

It was clearly a poor match, tennisticaly speaking from Jo, but not a so poor match for a come-back on a surface he lacks experience on. He needs to win a match or two in the next tourney and to complete it in the ARAG thingy and it's all good for RG.
It's not really a surprise, we know he is a diesel, he needs some matches to go at full speed. He was also not very confortable in his movements. He just needs some time, I think.

For the crowds, I can't confirm for sure on the "racists" demeanor, cause I shut up the sound of my TV (I can't bear to listen to Guillaume Roux, the guy is a terrible commentator with nothing to say). But Jo was clearly displeased by the constant noise they were making and more or less gave the match up to Gasquet at the end because of it.
