I wouldn't count on this happening, even though Saretta had an off-day, Brazil should win this one 4-1.

Go Nole, Almagro, Rafa & Qureshi/Bopanna!

Cuevas played as a top 100 player or better, hitting hard from baseline. Saretta didn't play well, but he wasn't bad at all. He missed in one point: being too defensive.
Guga may have difficulties to beat Cuevas on Sunday. Pablo serves well, and hits hard. Anyway, Guga played a good match and I don't think he will lose next.

Kuerten/Sa BRA def Cuevas/Villarubi URU 3/6 6/3 6/4 6/4
Yeah, Brazil is almost in Zone 1.
Today, Andre Sa carried team with great volleys (but his serve is still weak). Guga served well, but he showed he hasn't been trainig doubles lately (problems with position at net and passing shots). Uruguay played a good match, but they are inexperienced and missed easy balls in important moments.
Mello may play first singles tomorrow (Saretta upset Meligeni Friday).

Re: Americas Zone Group II: Uruguay vs Brazil

Mello BRA d Felder URU 6/7(6) 6/1 6/3 6/2
Cuevas URU d Kuerten BRA 7/6(5) ret
Brazil 3x2 Uruguay!!!!!!!! Brazil plays Zonal Group 1 next year!!!
Mello had a poor start but took control after satrt 2nd set.
Cuevas was happy at final of tie, as he defeated Saretta and Guga in the same weekend. This guy plays a good tennis.
Kuerten retired from final match due to foot injury.
Next year, zonal with Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador and Mexico (and Canada if Voltchkov wins last match)

And to think that Argentina was playing a World Group semi-final tie against Slovakia on the same weekend and the guy came here and created a thread to speculate about the possibilities of Brazil losing a Group II tie.

What goes around, comes around, arseclown.
