I think S.A. has no chance in the singles. I can't wait for the coverage on Friday.

Re: South Africa vs Germany

Why? I think Kiefer/Schuettler were tied before Dubai, but then Kiefer showed that he's the one who should play singles. I think he has also a little bonus cause of last year.

Re: South Africa vs Germany

Can anyone record the doubles tie for me-PLEASE? I'll pay if you want (paypal ) but would be so grateful... this is Jeff's match btw..

We obviously won't get it here, but I'm desperate to see it! Plus I will have been without tennis involving Jim for a week. The phrase 'gagging for it' springs to mind

I'll see what I can do for you.... BTW... DSF (Deutsches Sport-Fernsehen), the channel that will be broadcasting the tie is widely available via satellite by free. Check your listings if you can get it, otherwise I still could get you a copy as I'm planing to record the matches myself, hopefully with a Kiefer win

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: South Africa vs Germany

it is just a process for Tennis SA , they are lloking to get in a long term more players ,focusing in the younger players, because they can not rely on Ferreira everytime they play DAvis Cup.

Thanks so much for the offer--but I think before you posted, another friend already offered but thanks again

Thanks for the draw, JMG. That's what I expected. Kiefer and Haas playing singles and Waske/Schüttler in doubles.

Re: South Africa vs Germany

Actually, Alex Waske has fever since Wednesday and it's not sure if he can play. Kühnen can change until one hour before the match starts.

I think the Olympic double would make sense then, but I have doubts that Waske won't play.

Re: South Africa vs Germany

Surprised at Wayno not playing any singles, but looking at the alternatives, its a good choice. Plus experience in the doubles

Good luck to both teams, I'm expecting a very exciting tie
