I went out to where the tie is being held today (Kings Park)....didnt know where the courts were so I thought id better know before Friday
Practice courts were right out back and Todd Woodbridge and Todd Reid were having a hit....pretty cool because the thought never even crossed my mind that there might be anyone on the courts there....and especially seeing as before today the only pro players id seen were Lleyton and Karol Kucera at this years Hopman Cup. Perfect weather today, so hopefully it'll hold up for the weekend
Had the digital camera there, but didnt want to sit around taking photos so I only took the one photo of Woodbridge
edit: bugger...cant post the image (the files 3 times too big and I dont have a program to resize it)
Yeah, the article I just read said that Arazi demanded an amount of money that the Moroccan tennis federation couldn't or wouldn't give him. Damn. Lleyton's about to break Adrian Quist's record and I'd like it to be against a decent player.
Good luck Australia! I hope they give Reid some court time even if it's a dead rubber. I never write off anyone in Davis Cup but Lleyton and co versus Morocco without either of its stars does seem a little bit uneven. Still, let's hope for some good matches.
i've just read it myself too on the site...that has to be the most ridiculous piece of crap I've ever seen. Of all the tennis tournaments I've been to around the world, I've never seen that before. Screw that, I'm taking my camera...it's not like there's a flash or anything involved so there would be no problem for the players
yeah I know, I read it...the only thing I can think of is, at the Australian Open some cameras are banned because their zoom is too great. Like one of my friends was told by one of the officials that she couldn't use it because the zoom was too great (like, only professional photographers could use zooms like that), so I'm hoping that's all it is...that's all I can think of anyway. If that's the case, a normal digital camera is fine.
