A Great Match To End A Great Tournament

My post title says it all. This match wasnt a fizzler thank goodness but a match full of enthusiastic emotion.Great pressure serving brilliant ground strokes power hitting with great execution.Close pressure sets which could have gone either way lucky for Novak it was his way 3 sets to 1 set.Much better than the semis as both these guys were hungry and wanted to win.In the end Novak had the greater desire going all out with brilliant serving to clinch the 4th set in a tie breaker 7 points to 2 points ultimately winning not only that set but the match 3 sets to 1 set.God once again he played well when he was put in pressure situations. His serve patchy on some points got him out of so many sticky situations and the rest of the time his heart and courage pulled him through to greater heights than his opponent.Loved the TV shots of his family celebrating his win.werent they caught up in the emotion of this great match and their sons great victory.I enjoyed the contest of these 2 enthusiastic young men and hopefully we will be seeing a lot more of them both playing against each other in Grand slam tournaments.Cant wait 4 the French open. Bring it on.Linda Balkisammy

Re: A Great Match To End A Great Tournament

Great turn of events. I'm still not sold on Sharapova, I hope the younger ladies bring it to her like the Williams always do. Also, nice to see 2 other guys other than Federer and Nadal playing in finals. What passion both Novak and Tsonga displayed, like watching Hewitt in the early days but with the ammo to back it up.

Australian Open 2008 - Tsongas Inexperience and his Coaching Staffs’ Cost him Title!
As in everything winning and losing is always in the details, in a major tournament such as the Australian Open, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga overlooked a winning detail.
