2007 Final Standings - Labamba is our 2007 season champion!

2007 FINAL STANDINGS

Interesting facts

-Labamba was not only the champion of the season: he was the one with most titles (3) . Behind him, TMJordan, maldini and albop (2) and sploush, Forever-Delayed, Snowwy, Goldmund and Björki (1)

-TankingTheSet was the unlucky player he was the runner-up 3 times in the season, and because of details didn't managed to win a single title

-keqtqiadv didn't do better than two 4th places, but his consistency deserves a mention: he scored in ALL 14 tournaments

-albop showed to be a real talent of Challenger Challenge; he played only 5 tournaments, enough to win 2 titles and finish 9th in the season rank

-Snowwy and Goldmund won the first 2 tournaments and then never showed up again maybe they come back to the 2008 season, together with Super-Fabio, CooCooCachoo, Foosimoo and may others

-maldini (1st tournament, San Marino) and scarecrows (2nd tournament, Manta) were the only 2 players to score a "1000", which means they had all the 4 semi-finalists, both finalists and the champion correctly predicted

I guess these are the most interesting facts of the first Challenger Challenge season, which i invented suddenly and was really fun to run. Next year i don't think i'll have the same time for it, so i asked TankingTheSet (who already helped me a lot with the game) to run the 2008 season. Fortunatelly, he accepted I'm sure he'll do a great job! Thanks for all the member that played the game this year, i hope you all enjoyed it, and please keep playing it next year! Feel free to make any suggestions and invite new players

See you in 2008,

Caio

Re: 2007 Standings - After 1st tournament

HOW IT WORKS

Ranking points will work this way:

Code:
CHAMPION : 25 points RUNNER-UP : 20 3rd : 16 4th : 13 5th : 11 6th : 10 7th : 9 8th : 8 9th : 7 10th : 6 11th : 5 12th : 4 13th : 3 14th : 2 15th : 1 NOTE: IF THERE'S A COMPLETE TIE IN ANY POSITION, EACH PLAYER EARN THE AVERAGE OF POINTS OF THE CORRESPONDING POSITION

Re: 2007 Standings - After 2nd tournament

Ranking updated after 2nd tournament

We had little errors in the first standings because of TB scores, but everything is fixed now with few changes!

Foosimo still in the lead!

Note that the top 2 players (him and keqtqiadv) are the only ones that socred in all 4 tournaments!

Regularity is the word here

Re: 2007 Standings - After 7th tournament - TMJordan takes the season lead!

With the 2 straight titles Jordan took the lead of Foosimoo, who didn't play the 7th tournament. Excellent fight for the #1 spot until the end of the year!

Re: 2007 Standings - After 7th tournament - TMJordan takes the season lead!

I am wondering what the tie-break rules are in the overall standings, I can't see a pattern currently. Shouldn't it be similar to the tournament rules (e.g. if one player has 25 as highest score, he beats a player with 20 as highest score, etc)?

TT Singles 2012: W: Winston-Salem SF: Honolulu CH, Rotterdam, Memphis, 's-Hertogenbosch, Wimbledon, Beijing, Vienna QF: Barcelona, Nice, Bastad, Petange CH, Bangkok R16: Monte Carlo, Madrid
TT Doubles 2012: W: Caloundra CH (with kingroger), Acapulco (with keqtqiadv) F: Beijing (with KittyTennis) SF: Sydney (with Belludal), Memphis (with Belludal), Guadalajara CH (with kingroger), Wimbledon (with RHB1993) QF: Barcelona (with extremaduratenis), Cincinnati (with stbanchile)

Re: 2007 Standings - After 9th tournament - Labamba takes the season lead!

The last two weeks had so many weird results that even scarecrows scored some points.
