Re: S1 Week 1 - Heineken Open - Auckland (IS)

GAMBILL WILL MAKE HER DEBUT

Auckland,AUS -- The American competing will play his first match of the year in this week, in Auckland at Henineken Open.

"I am very happy about being allowed to be here. I feel this a big opportunity for me. Rebound Ace is my best surface, so I want to reach the semis at least. My final aim though it, that I attain a good result at Australian Open."

Jan-Michael was injured in the past months, they were his troubles with his shoulder.

"A period was heavy, but fortunately I am healthy and I want to win now."

Jan-Michael's first opponent will be Wawrinka or Ferrero. Good luck!

Meligeni shows his big heart in benneficient event in Auckland

Auckland (NZL) - Brazilian Fernando Meligeni gave a big show of his great heart at a benneficient event in Auckland, where the first FMTL tournament of the season will be held. He played some tennis with poor children of New Zealand, bringing into their faces wonderful smiles. Fininho always liked to do this kind of showness, and he cancelled morning training just to take part into it. Guests at the local were also very curious about seeing the interior of "Fininho I - Vamos Brasil", the ship where he traveled in from Rio de Janeiro to Auckland. Let's see if the intense practicing will have immediate results. Well, he'll at least have the support of Auckland's kids.

More information at Meligeni's official website: www.vamosfininho.com.br

Bjorkman Ready To Take On Auckland

"I'm looking forward to it."
This was his opponing comment to the press during his press conference in his hotel.
"You know, I've got as much chance as anyone. I think I can play my game."
He's trained. He's ready. He's tough. Watch out for Jonas Bjorkman.
He wants to grind it out. His goal is to win five-setters.
"Yeah, those are fun matches, I wish to play as many of those as possible."
He figures fifth sets advantage him.
"I'm old, but I'm in shape, I run well, they get tired, the young folk."
We'll see how it pans out in Auckland, an international series event.

Re: S1 Week 1 - Heineken Open - Auckland (IS)

Rules if both players have the same points in a set:
7-6 (8)* means that the players had the same points in a set.

- The one which wrote the most articles wins the set.
But didn't write articles:
- If one sends points for the tournament, and the other didn't.
The one which send new points wins. For the 1st tournament on a surface everyone has to send new points. So for this tournament it isn't a rule
- A Coin Toss
But if there are 2 CT in a match, both will win 1.

I hope you all like this
